About COMEDK 2011

The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, in their endeavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” (COMEDK).

COMEDK has been assigned the task of organising a common entrance test for the academic year 2011-2012. 

COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (Single window system).

The list of the Member Institutions who have indicated their participation in the COMEDK testing program, along with the courses offered by them, is published our website.

Following a letter issued by the UGC allowing the Deemed Universities to use the word "University" with their name, the Board of Management MGM Institute of Health Sciences decided to rename the Institution as MGM University of Health Sciences.

For admission to MBBS course, the candidate should have passed HSC or Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained 50% (for SC / ST at least 40%) marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together at the qualifying examination or equivalent.

The candidate seeking admission to these courses should be an Indian national and should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission

Admission through Management/NRI Quota 2011

Admission under/Through/By Management Quota/NRI Quota:-

In India All the Medical college comes under two category

1. Government college(Managed By Central Govt or State Govt)
2. Private college or Un-Aided/Aided college ( Managed By Trust or Society ) 

Government college engineering seats are filled by Medical entrance test like(AIPMT or state entrance test), and its depends on candidate performance (rank/score), but private college or  Un-Aided/Aided college have the permission to fill some engineering seats by eligible candidate directly under management quota/NRI quota, remaining seat filled by Medical entrance test(vary state to state).

Fees structure for allotted seats(for rank holders)  will be fix by govt body and for Management quota/NRI Quota, college management will decide.

Note-:

1. Management quota/NRI Quota seats are not available in any govt college   
2. Even in all private college also there are no management/NRI Quota.
