MGM MEDICAL COLLEGE, AURANGABAD.
MAHATMA GANDHI MISSION (MGM) was established on 20 December 1982 with a futuristic vision to provide qualitative education by applying innovative and dynamic pedagogical techniques. Since inception, the Trust has focused on providing health care services in urban as well as rural areas and providing education ranging from basic school education to higher education in various streams. MGM was established in Nanded (Maharashtra) and in course of time, it extended its services to Aurangabad, Navi Mumbai, Parbhani and Noida.
The MGM Deemed University has been originally notified as a Deemed to be University in the name and style of “MGM Institute of Health Sciences vide Notification No. F.9-21/2005-U.3 (A) dated 30.08.2006 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education New Delhi. Following a letter issued by the UGC allowing the Deemed Universities to use the word ‘University' with their name, the Board of Management MGM Institute of Health Sciences decided to rename the Institution as MGM University of Health Sciences.
Medical College and Hospital
MGM's Medical College was established in the year 1990 in a campus over 25 acres land. The constructed building of New Hospital and College stands over 4,50,000 sq ft. area. The Medical College is recognized by MCI since 1996 and is presently a constituent part of the MGM University of Health Sciences.
The Institute is ISO Certified and is rated among the among top 30 Medical Colleges in India according to theHindustan Times survey.
