The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi university of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital is a part of Sri RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions. The college is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. Moogambigai Charitable and Educational Trust was established in 1992 by the chairman Sri A.C. Shanmugam, B.A.L.L.B. with the sole objective for starting institutions of higher education for exemplary stature to serve the people of Karnataka.
