KSHEMA Mangalore MBBS Course 2015

 K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), Mangalore was set up in 1999.The Institution is named after its founder, the visionary, late Justice K S Hegde, former Justice of the Supreme Court of India and former Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

The institute is located in the picturesque town of Deralakatte, about 13 km from the city of Mangalore in Karnataka. The institute offers both under graduate and post graduate courses in the medical stream. The degrees offered by the institution are recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

The Institution has collaborations and research linkages with international and national organizations like the Wake Forest University, USA, University of Toronto, Canada, BARC Research Center-Mangalore University, India and St. John’s Research Institute, India.

K S Hegde Medical Academy offers a four and a half year program leading to the award of the degree, M.B.B.S. K S Hegde Medical Academy and the attached K S Hegde Hospital are duly recognized by the Medical Council of India and are affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

As per the curriculum designed by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over 4 1/2 academic years from the date of commencement of study to the date of completion of examination followed by 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship.
