Bharati Vidyapeeth
Deemed University Medical College & Hospital, Sangli was set up in the
year 2005, has a 500 bedded tertiary care, multi-speciality hospital to cater
to instruct medical education of high standard to its undergraduate and
postgraduate students.
The institute has received approval from Medical Council of
India (MCI), New Delhi and is recognized by the state government.
The college has its own Blood Bank. The college also
conducts a Doctoral program in Medical Biochemistry.
The institute offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of
Surgery (MBBS) course of 5½ years duration, which includes internship period of
1 year.
