A J Institute of Medical Sciences was established on 21 October 2002. It is a medical college in Mangalore, Karnataka. Mr. Prashanth Shetty is the Director of A.J.I.M.S. The first batch passed out of final MBBS in February 2007 and finished internship on 15 April 2008. The college is promoted by industrialist Mr. A. J. Shetty. The medical college is currently recognized by Medical Council of India and affiliated with RGUHS. This college is situated at Kuntikana junction on NH-17. The college is a derivative of A J Hospital and Research centre.
