Kasturba Medical
College, Mangalore was opened in January 1955. The Medical Council of India
granted recognition to KMC Mangalore in 1958, with the first graduating class.
Recognition by the
General Medical Council of Great Britain and the Malaysian Medical Council
followed soon.
The College was first affiliated to Karnataka University and
later in 1965 to Mysore University, followed by affiliation to Mangalore
University in 1980. Manipal, today, could be a data powerhouse and a name in
teaching.

Eligibility at Kasturba Medical College Mangalore
Pass in 10+2 , A Level, IB, American 12th grade or
equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English
individually with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology /
Biotechnology taken together.
