Admission Details

Admission under General Merit Category
The admission under the General merit category will be through the process of centralised single window counselling on the basis of merit(rank) obtained in the All India Entrance Test, NU UGET conducted by Nitte University.

As per the regulations of the statutory bodies, the minimum percentage of marks in the Entrance Test to be eligible for admission to the MBBS course shall be 50% for General Category candidates.

Admission under NRI Quota
The admission under the NRI category is based on merit in the qualifying examination taking into consideration, marks secured in the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Foreign nationals are also considered for admission under this quota.

Students seeking admission under the NRI category should submit a separate application to the college in the prescribed format, available at the University office, Mangalore or from the website www.nitte.edu.in along with the attested photocopies of the following documents:
  • 10th Std. marks card/pass certificate (for proof of date of birth)
  • 10+2 marks card
  • Transfer certificate from the institution last attended
  • Passport and student visa
  • Passport and Employer”s certificate as proof of NRI status (if the candidate has studied in India)
  • A demand draft for Rs.1000/- towards registration fee favoring Nitte University, payable at Mangalore.
The payment of fee shall be from the Non Resident External (N.R.E) account of the parent.

Eligibility Criteria
A pass in 12th standard or equivalent examination approved by the Medical Council of India with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study, with atleast 50% marks in aggregate of optional subjects.

The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.

Cancellation of Admission:
The admission of a candidate may be cancelled without any refund of fees in following conditions:
  • If a candidate does not pay the prescribed fees at the time of admission.
  • If the university declares that the candidate is not eligible for admission due to non fulfillment of any of the conditions laid down by it.
  • If any information supplied by the student in connection with his admission is found to be incorrect at any time after the admission.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate will be held eligible for admission on fulfillment of following conditions:
  • The candidate must have completed 17 yrs of age before 30th October of the year of admission.
  • The SSC or equivalent examination certificate will constitute valid proof of date of birth.
  • The candidate must have passed 12th std. examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State HSC Board or an equivalent examination of any recognised Indian Board or University with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English as subjects with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physiscs, Chemistry and Biology in one and the same attempt.
  • Candidate belonging to constitutional reservation catagory should have obtained not less than 40% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology taken together in one and the same attempt, in the qualifying examinations.
  • In case any lacuna is found after admission and enrollment & eligibility is denied by the M.U.H.S. Nashik to which the institute is affiliated, the institute shall not be responsible for any loss direct or indirect to the student on this account, and his/her admission is liable for cancellation.

Sri Siddhartha Medical College (SSMC) was started in the year 1989 by Sri Siddhartha Educational Society (SSES). The Medical College and hospital is located in the outskirts of Tumkur city – 6 km from the city amidst green field in a vast campus of 220 acres of the side of Bangalore – Honnavar national highway and it is just 76 km from Bangalore city connected by road and railway.

The climate is similar to Bangalore. There are 21 buildings with built-in area of about 73,875 sq. mt at the cost of about Rs. 20 crores, which include furnished quarters for staffs. There are separate buildings for pre and para-clinical departments, library and information center and SSMC Hospital.

The college was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. After the Medical Council of India and the then Karnataka state government run under the Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde had declined the permission to set up the college, the Supreme Court of India had given the signal to go ahead in mid-1989.

Admission Details

The candidate shall have passed the two year PUC examination conducted by PU Board, Karnataka State with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects or any other examinations recognized as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Or the first year of three year degree course of a Recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination i.e. a "University Examinations"

B.Sc with physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology) or Chemistry, botany and Zoology exam of an Indian university, provided that he has passed the B.Sc examination and has passed the B.Sc Examination and has secured at least 50% in any of the two subjects studied at the degree level and he has passed the earlier qualifying examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English

Any other examination which in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian university / board, taking physics, chemistry and biology including a practical test in each of these subjects and English the candidate shall have obtained not less than 50% for general candidates

Admission Details

For admission to MBBS, the candidate should have completed 17 years of age minimum and should be passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination [12-Years Course], Senior School Certificate Examination [10+2], Pre-degree examination [10+2] or an equivalent with 12 year of schooling including the subjects of Biology, Physics & Chemistry and English Passed in first attempt with 50% and above.

He/She should have passed ASSO.CET (AMUPMDC), ordered by Hon. High Court, Mumbai and approved by State Government.

This criteria may vary as per the Order/Notification by the Government and AMUPMDC (Association of Management of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges, Maharashtra).

Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Belgaum
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) is a constituent medical school of newly created KLE University. It is located at Belgaum in Karnataka state. The college was earlier affiliated to the state unitary Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college has been adjudged among the top twenty medical schools in the country as per a questionable national survey done in year 2007.

The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India, Malaysian Medical Council, and listed in W.H.O. World Directory of Medical Schools. Its high standards for teaching and research have attracted students from all over the world. There are collaborations with University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Missouri-Kansas City, Vanderbilt University, University of Alabama at Birmingham and University of Colorado Health Sciences Center for teaching and research. The college has received funding from Indian Council of Medical Research, World Health Organization and National Institutes of Health, USA.

The sprawling 100 acre campus in Belgaum has excellent infrastructure, such as state-of-the art labs, equipment, as well as other facilities that collectively provide a professional environment. Admission Details

The Candidates Seeking for MBBS Admission in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Belgaum have to appear KLEU UGAIET conducted by KLE University.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The candidates seeking admission should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate examination PUC II/HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) or any other equivalent to10+2/HSC examination of any recognized Board/University from any School/College studied in India/Abroad after 12 Years of Study. 
  • The candidate should have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually and must have obtained at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taking together in the qualifying examination i.e. PUC II/10+2/HSC or equivalent. The candidate should have also secured at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taking together at KLEU-UGAIET Exam.
  • Age: The candidates should complete 17 years of age.
