Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati is a premier educational institution of Central India with branches in all the districts of Vidarbha in Maharashtra. It is registered as a public charitable trust (R.No. F/89 ). Shri Shivaji Education Society was founded by a great visionary late Dr.Panjabrao alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh in 1931/32. Along with other members, Bhausaheb devoted himself to educate the people by establishing numerous schools, colleges, hostels and other teaching & technical institutions. The educational institutions covered areas like agriculture, arts, biotechnology, information technology, education, physical education, engineering, horticulture, law, medicine, microbiology, pure sciences, etc.

Today it runs senior colleges, junior colleges, middle schools, hostels mainly in the region of Vidarbha & also in other parts of the state of Maharashtra.

Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati's Dr. Panjabrao alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati was established in 1984 while the Hospital & Research Centre was established in 1990. The college is recognized by Medical Council of India and is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

Amravati is famous for being a very renowned educational center. It is well connected by rail and road to all major cities in India. All trains on Mumbai Howrah route stop at Badnera [10 K.M. suburban area of Amravati]. Direct trains are available for Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Pune, Delhi, Howrah, Chennai. It is located on National Highway No.6 connecting Mumbai & Calcutta. Nearest airport is Nagpur which is 150 Km from Amravati.

The college is situated at Shivaji Nagar, on National Highway No. 6. All Departments are located at main College Campus. It has 2 big lecture halls and an examination hall for 125 students sitting arrangement.
