S.S. Institute of Medical sciences & Research centre is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka with a intake permission for 150 seats from Medical council of INDIA for the year 2010-2011.SSIMS&RC is spread over an area of 130 acres. The focus is always on providing students with an environment that helps learning and imbibing a positive value system. Situated right in the centre of Karnataka  at a distance of 260 Km  from Bangalore on the NH-4 ; Bangalore-Pune National Highway. It is located at 14°28' altitude and 75° 59' latitude with an elevation of 602.5mts above the mean sea level.  

While the nurturing of future doctors and medical scientists of the world is a priority at large, SSIMSRC always orients itself towards new in-roads into super-specialty areas that particularly benefit the rural population. Today we seek to bring the whole of central Karnataka under one medical umbrella, bringing to the doorstep of the poor, the latest medical facilities, as available anywhere in the world.
