Institute of Medical
Sciences & Research was set up in the year 2012, in Satara, Maharashtra.
The institute goal is to provide quality healthcare education, research and
training facilities to medical professionals.
The institute is located in rural area of Satara district(Maharashtra)
aim of opening a medical college is to educate the students of rural area.
The institute is associated to Maharashtra University of
Health Sciences (MUHS), Nasik. It is approved by the Medical Council of India
(MCI), New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.

Admission procedure of the medical college
IMSR is renowned for its courses with various
specializations in General Medicine, Surgery, Community Medicine, Pediatric,
Radiology, Physiology, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Microbiology, Anatomy, and
Biochemistry etc. Admission to 5 and a half years’ MBBS course inclusive of one
year’s internship period is based on the previous academic performance in
Higher Secondary Certification examination, with mandatory Physics, Biology and
Chemistry electives, with minimum required aggregate of 50%. The students
should be at a minimum 17 years of age on or before the year of admission.
Intake permission under MCI for MBBS is 100 students. Seats under management
and reservation quota are allotted according to Associate CET rules.
