Dr DY Patil Medical
College, Kolhapur was started by
a private trust in 1989 at Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
The medical college is having a deemed status as per the UGC
Act 1956. The associated university is D.Y. Patil Education Society Deemed
University. The medical institution conducts an all India Entrance Examination
to select students into UG / PG courses.
D. Y. Patil Education Society as Deemed University status on
the recommendations of University Grants Commission (UGC).

Admission Procedure –
- Through All India Allied Health Sciences Entrance Test conducted by D. Y. Patil Education Society, Kolhapur.
- For getting admission into MBBS course in Dr. D Y Patil Medical College, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, the students have to qualify Common Entrance Test conducted by D.Y. Patil Education Society Deemed University. The selection of the students is done based on the ranks obtained in the all India Entrance Examination.
Eligibility Criteria:
Any examination equivalent to H.S.C. / (10+2) examination,
of any recognized Board/ University after 12 years of study.
