Jawaharlal Nehru
Medical College was set up in the year 1963 by KLE (Karnatak Lingayat
Education) Society.
The college is associated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of
Health Sciences (RGUHS) and is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
It is one of the top twenty colleges in India.
The institute is a unit of KLE University and it has been
granted the deemed University status by UGC. The college is also recognized by
the Malaysian Medical Council and listed in WHO World Directory of Medical
Schools.
The college has collaborations with University of Illinois
at Chicago, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, University of
Missouri-Kansas City, Vanderbilt University and University of Alabama at
Birmingham for teaching and research.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
- The students must have passed 2nd PUC with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with English as one subject. He / She should have scored minimum marks of 50% and 40% in case of SC / ST category.
- For those applying for PG Courses must hold a MBBS degree with minimum pass percentage in the qualifying exams.
- The candidates can take up either KLEU AIET or KCET entrance exams for Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Belgaum admission. Students can take up any medical entrance coaching to clear the qualifying entrance exams with ease. area of 100 acres of land. It provides several facilities to its students.
